What makes Sarah Murray Paintings Conservation different from other art restoration companies on the market?
I am one of only a few qualified paintings conservators here in San Diego specializing in painting restoration. My training was at the Hamilton Kerr Institute, University of Cambridge, England and I have been working as a conservator in San Diego since 1991.
I came here from Edinburgh, Scotland where I was Assistant Paintings Conservator at the National Gallery of Scotland, and then came to San Diego to fill the position of Associate Paintings Conservator at the Balboa Art Conservation Center in Balboa Park in 1991. In 2001 I established a private studio in downtown San Diego in the East Village, where I offer a full range of art conservation and restoration services.
